I am really good at blogging for like 2 weeks then its like i fall off the face of the planet. However here is your 2min recap:

Thor: Just got another promotion at work! He is now the manager over 3 labs for the technicians! We Love it because now his work schedule is Monday-Friday. He is also going to go back to school this summer! His work said they wanted him to continue his education with the promotion. He is still working at Hoppers, but only on Sundays now. So we have Saturday as a family day! So proud of Thor!! He picks up Oaklie from our tenders (aka good friends) and is able to have some good daddy daughter time with her before I get home.

Natalie: Still working the Dental office which I love. We are planning to move locations here within the next year to a newer building. The office we have our eyes on is just at the next street light!! (keeping our fingers crossed)

Oaklie: Where to start with her..... she now calls herself "baby princess". She will look in the mirror and say "hi princess baby. princess baby pretty today" haha We are potty trained! took 2.5 days and only 3 accidents!! so proud! She is even in a big girl bed due to a chunky leg getting stuck in the beam and daddy ripping the crib apart accident. -plenty more to come about oaklie-.

Potty Training!!!

Diapers are so stinkin expensive!! I am down to one diaper and have decided I'M NOT BUYING ANYMORE!! lol.... heres why:

Wednesday Oaklie and I were playing around with the idea of potty training. I kept her diaper off for one hour, and constantly had her excited to sit on the potty every 10 mins. Eventually she had to go pee. She walked around the house with her legs semi crossed and I would enthusiastically tell her to come sit and pee on the potty. She would get excited and sit but no business was done. Finally she grabbed a diaper, laid on the floor, held the diaper in the air and said "pease mommy diaper". It was clear she knew she had to pee and was holding it in. I kept trying to encourage her to pee on the toilet, I even laid the diaper on the toilet seat and sat her on it. She eventually gave up and pee'd on the floor! hahaha. Later that day Zavier came home from Logan with his parents carpet shampooer. The next morning I realized I was limited on diapers and decided the fates were with me and it is time to potty train!!!!

I made a sticker chart, got a baby doll that pee's, we have candy from Halloween, potty chair, and big girl underwear! I have plans to stay home for all of Saturday and Sunday and try to conquer this task! haha (we also got pull ups for bed time and naps) Keep your fingers crossed and hope we only have to shampoo the carpet (and probably the couch) only once!!!

Halloween 2011

This Halloween was a busy one! Friday we went treating at ebay, where Jennifer works. Ebay has 5 buildings! We were lucky and were able to go trick or treating in a total of 4 buildings where there were a lot of people dressed up and candy at almost every desk! Then after Jennifer treated us all to dinner at Johnny Carinos! MMMM. Saturday morning we went to boo at the zoo with friends. We saw all sorts of animals, tigers, monkeys and elephants! The zoo had a lot of candy booths, however the animals were way more exciting to see instead of waiting inline, what felt like 10 mins with little kids, for a tootsie roll. After nap we went to a friends kid Halloween party and played games, jumped on the trampoline, had an awesome dance party, and ate LOTS of treats! Lets just say after this party Oaklie was ready to sleep through the whole next day! We had a blast! Sunday Oaklie went with Zavier to Logan for a Rogers Halloween festival where they carved pumpkins, while Thor and I were able to slip out for beer and dessert at Squatters. Monday, Thor, Oaklie myself and our neighbors went trick or treating!! Oaklie hasn't yet figured out the concept of Halloween and I think may be very confused that we urged her to accept candy from strangers but i'm sure she'll figure it out soon! I think I am candied out for the rest of the week if not for the rest of November! lol... however, well see how my candy craving is feeling by morning! :)

Lots of photo dumping! I went to Nashville in September for the annual AADOM conference! It was so much fun and I learned so much! So grateful for this organization, it not only gives me the knowledge I need to help better my job but also gives me the strength on days I'm needing help to keep going! Thanks AADOM for everything you do! This year we stayed at the beautiful Gaylord Opera Hotel. All these pictures were taken from inside the hotel!

Growing Up

Everyone knows that children grow up and that they grow up way to fast. One thing I didn't expect is that I need to grow up with her..... Oaklie came to me today with her shoes (wanting to go outside "side") and I replied "no baby its raining were not going out today" Oaklie then sits down and puts her own shoe on!! This made me sad, she is not needing me to do things for her anymore, and its only going to get worse the older she gets. Instead of putting her shoes on, changing a diaper, putting her in a chair or car seat she is now doing most of these on her own. I am now needing to grow up and stop doing things for her. How ever one things I hope she never grows out of his giving mommy a hug and kiss! Those I love the most!!

Month of May!!

May has been a busy month of us! Thor finished yet another semester at school with all A's! Natalie's work/aka buisnes is still growing at rapid pace. Oaklie, is busy playing copy cat and being cute! Some of her recent sentences consist of "i stuck", "stop it pease", and "i poopie" hahaha we have been getting new teeth but i swear they decided to come in at different times, it would much more appreciated if they all decided to come in at the same time! haha

Mothers day was in May and Thor surprised me with a new digital camera!!! I need to start uploading all sorts of photos! We also went to the zoo on mothers day! They have brought in these large dinosaur models that move and make noises. Oaklie was not very fond of them! She loooved the "nokeys" (monkeys) hahaha! We will definitely be going back to the zoo this summer.

Thors work had a lagoon day!! We went in the morning and rode a couple of rides with oaklie, again she was not very fond of them. After lunch we took Oaklie home and Zavier watched her during nap time and me and Thor were able to go back and ride adult rides! We felt like we were 16 again! it was so much fun!

Counting!

We were out to dinner the other night and I started to count with Oaklie. I said "one" she immediately said "two" then I continued to count "3, 4, 5, yeah now lets count in spanish.... uno" Oaklie said "dos" I continued "tres, quatro" and oaklie exclaimed "cinco!" I was shocked she knew more numbers in spanish then english. So I wanted to try again just to make sure it was not just random, I said "okay lets count again" and oaklie replied "uno" I said "good job, dos, tres" she replied "quatro" and i finished at "cinco"!!!!
So i dont speak any spanish, i only know a couple of words or so. Who ever said TV rots the brain out apparently never watched Dora or Diego! Thank you Nick Jr. my child can officially count to 5 in spanish and only say "two" in english! hahaha
On another note, its funny how a simple word like "turtle" or "cow" is just a word but as soon as a 2yr old says "turtle" or "cow" "mooo" its all of a sudden become the most amazing and exciting word in the world to hear and I instantly become so proud of my baby to say a word I took for granted! I dont think I will ever look at an animal the same with out remembering the first time Oaklie said it! moments that can never be replaced.... okay until maybe she starts saying cuss words! hahaha

well hello!!! Its been a loong time since i've written on here! i'm going to try make it a goal to write weekly!! I will try to make it a quick re-cap on what we have been up to the last year!

Thor-

thor is still working at ARUP and loving it! it is such a wonderful company to work with. he has currently changed his hours and now works at 5 am monday through Friday! Thor is still going to school full time! he recently graduated from salt lake community college with an HONORS associate! I am so proud of him for working, going to school, and raising a baby while being a great husband! He is getting ready to transfer up to the University of Utah and apply for the Medical Technician program! Thor goes to school around the clock even takes classes through the summer! Not sure what his plans are after he completes the MedTech program, maybe going on to Pathology, maybe a doctor degree or PA. well see!

Oaklie-

Oaklie has grown so much! she finally got teeth! haha she now has 4 upper front and 4 lower front. and 3.5 molars! Since i last wrote she is walking and talking! She even speaks spanish! (thanks to dora the explorer and diego!) If i ask her in english to say "open" she responds with saying "abri (abra)" she will even walk to a door and knock on it and say "abri, abri peaze". If i ask to say "i love you" she says "te amo"! hahaha what a smarty pants! She is now 20 months old! She loves to color, loves milk and is very good at saying "peaze" and "thanks". She also loves doggies!! She knows almost all of her animal noises! Her favorite ones to make are the elephants and snakes! She goes down the slide all by herself at the park and refuses to sit in her big girl chair at dinner. She likes to stand in a real chair and eat. One of my favorite things is when were driving she says "mom, mommy, mom" i respond "what baby" she says "i stuck." i have to remind her that i put here there and she will stay stuck until we get out of the car hahaha! She has attempted to potty train, she showed intrest in it for awhile then stopped so we stopped! probably because she told me she had to go potty and i ignored her and put her on my lap, she immediately pee'd on me! haha. I can write so much on this wonderful baby but will have to do so in another blog!

Natalie-

as of for me I have been very busy with being a mom! Also, I work at a great dental office still as an office manager. I never knew how exciting it was to grow a business and stressful all at the same time. I was nominated for office manager of the year for 2011 and was flown to Vegas for an award ceremony held by AADOM. Unfortunately i didn't win but to be nominated was amazing. I also was picked top 6 for a scholarship from patterson dental. I still work at hoppers on the weekends serving!

As a family- We bought a brand new house in south salt lake! Its in a gated community with 3bd and 2.5 bath! we absolutely love it! were getting ready to paint it. for oaklie's room i'm thinking plum!!

Well enough talk i will add more pictures soon and write in more detail on what we have been up too!!! Feels good to be back!!

Christmas

Christmas this year was fun! Thor has to work a major holiday every year so he choose to work Christmas this year so he would be home next year when Oaks is a year and a half old. So this Christmas I went to IHop with my brother and sister. We had alot of fun. I got Thor a ps3 and two video games, Oaklie got an excersauce and a baby einstein, I got a new hair straightener that came with a free stand and free mini travel one! I also got this peanut baby blanket for Oaklies car seat! I love it! Oaklie got croup and she has been miserably sick! Thor is now getting sick too so I have two sick babies at home. We also took Oaklie to meet Santa, she did so good she did not cry and we got a pretty good photo! Lots of photos!

Merry Christmas everyone! I just wanted to say I am so greatful for the life I have, and the wonderful people who surround it! I'm excited to end this chapter of my life and welcome 2010!! Feliz nuevo anos!!

Family Update

These last few months have been crazy! Time for a quick 5 min family recap!

Thor- Thor just got a raise at his job as a tech 2!! way to go! He is still working 40+ hours a week at the lab which he is loving! Its always nice to have a job you enjoy as much as he does his job! He works with really amazing people too so thats another bonus! The semester just ended and Thor passed all of his classes with either a B or A! He took 11 credit hours! Way to go! Next Semester starts the second week of January and he will be taking 14 credits!! Ouch!! I know he will do great! (because he has a great wife to help support him and cook him meals and do laundry! tehehe JK)

Natalie- I've been busy working 3-4 days a week at the dental office. We just went digitial and so we are in the process of going ALL paperless! Its amazing, but I have to spend alot of my day scanning papper work into the computer and having people fill out the new papper work! I have been asked to come be a Q and A guest speaker type thing for Arestin (a dental product) at a dinner! I will be talking to dentist about how our office uses the Arestin RX!! its a huge honor but i am really nervous, more nervous about trying to find the perfect outfit! hehehe!! I am officially working at Hoppers again! I work 2 nights a week (either friday, saturday or sunday). My favorite days are wednesday when I get to stay home all day with baby girl and take naps!!

Oaklie- She is now 5 months old!!! She HATES peas and bananas!! she LA LA LOOVES apple sauce!!! She has discovered her toes and loves to suck on them! She can roll over from front to back and back to front like a pro! She has officially started crawling! She hasn't figured out the arm leg coordination so she lays her head on the ground and scootches with her feet! She goes in circles for hours! I turn around and she is gone! She has started sitting up on her own! She will only sleep on her tummy (which makes mommy nervous! I know she is doing it on purpose! lol). She loves to roll her R'sss! Kinda like a gurggled Grrr sound. Her best friend is the cute baby in the mirror they could play for hours. She has slept through the night for one week and then decided it wasnt for her and she prefers to wake up at 4 am and come snuggle in between mommy and daddy. Her favorite toy is a garrafi. She CAN put her binky in her mouth by herself, she is learning how to hold her bottle but she gets into eating that she rubbs her eyes with her hands! She still refuses to nap, we struggle with that one. Still a full time pooper (usually once a day but its as if she is saving it up for me i swear!). and last but not least she loves to touch mommy and daddys faces and pull on them! Its so funny to see her discover new things and want to eat everything that she can get her hands on!!!!

Life here is busy, but that seems to be the way we love it! We take photos with santa tomorrow!

Big week!

This last week was a very event full week for Oaklie. She has hit alot of "first" in her life!
She is a pro at rolling over.....
On Monday she rolled right off the bed when I turned my back for a second and bonked her head on her crib. (she is fine)
Tuesday- she started to crawl across the floor!
Wed.- as we were bathing her i dropped the shampoo bottle on her head and gave her her first boo boo.
Thursday- She peed her bed for the first time
Friday- She woke up with a fever of 100.9 and the Dr. said she looks fine and thinks she might be starting to teeth!
It was a very event full week!! Next week were going to start solid foods! Our Dr. said her poop is going to start changing weird colors. I asked if we should start taking pictures of her poop weekly every time we add a new food and make a scrap book. He asked me not to do that... lol. I think Oaklies boyfriends might really like it??!!!

Yesterday, September 8th we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary!! I ordered a chocolate pineapple rum cake from Leslies bakery which is thors favorite. Then we had lunch together then thor surprised me with roses!

Thank you Thor for being not only the greatest best friend i could ever ask for, but for being the Love of my life and the man I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with! You take the greatest care of me and your daughter and i cant wait till our next anniversary!! (maybe next year we can actually celebrate with out school, work and a baby that refused to sleep haha)

Football is officially started!! Oklahoma played BYU on satuday and lets just say it was a sad day! I cant believe BYU beat us and to top it off take out our QB!!! at least oaklie was dressed for the occassion!

I dont have any sooner gear for her yet so she wore team colors!! (okay so it looks pink but its red and white! I dont have any black baby gear haha)

Labor Day Weekend.

Over Labor Day weekend we decided last minute to go to Logan (were Thors parents live). Once up there it was like a mini vacation, we did not have to cook, clean, or get up with the baby! Thors mom aka grandma rogers got up all night with miss oaks! it was soo nice to be able to sleep in for once and just relax!!
Thor works saturdays so we went up saturday around 6 and just hung out at the house. Sunday we slept in and played with thors MANY brothers and sisters. Then Monday we went to the Logan zoo, its free! Then we went and saw the movie UP! it was so cute! Oaklie loved it all, and most of all we had DELICIOUS food the whole time!
Thanks grandparents for the relaxing time!

We received a baby Einstein video from a friend of thors. a "lullaby time, soothing sounds for baby" video to be exact. For everyone who does not know what "baby Einstein" is, its a series of dvds to help stimulate ur baby with sounds, shapes and animals and such.
we'll... being the new parent that i am i thought i should pre-watch the movie before showing it to Oaklie. You know, making sure the animals arent' naked and saying inappropriate phrases, like when the dog says "wolf" instead of "bark". I found that phrase to be offly offensive. So as i'm watching the video i feel asleep! i guess the lullaby einstein video really does work and helps put your child, and you to sleep! I totally recomend it!!! haha thanks alex for the great gift!! :)

Work, Showers and Still no Sleep!

Our baby is the most spoiled baby ever!! our great neighbors threw us a shower the other day (that makes number 7!) and we got a stroller!!! we have almost everything we need for this girl now! we actually had to buy our first set of wipes and diapers the other day!! Thank you to everyone for all of the love and support its truly been a blessing!!
I've now officially started back at work! I work at a dental office as an office manager/coordinator 3 days a week which i la la loove that schedule! my boss just gave me a really NICE raise for coming back to work (he was afraid i was gonna stay home with baby so i got rewarded! hehe). I now work Monday, tuesday and Thursday. Thor works Tuesday through Saturday so he stays home with miss oakley while i'm at work. On tuesdays and Thursdays Oaks goes to our friend Rachels house. Rachel is my sisters boyfriends sister. She is so fabulous! her baby is one years old and so she has everything Oakley needs at her house. i just take over bottels and milk! She is such a good friend and a good sitter!!
Oakley has started something new... she has decided to get up and scream every other hour! the last two nights the only way we could get her to sleep was by having her sleep in our bed with us! oh geezse looks like were gonna have to upgrade form a queen to a king!!
Thor and i start school next week!! Thor is gonna go back FULL time and he is gonna become a med tech! after that he is gonna continue on and get his dr's in pathology. i'm gonna take a couple of online classes and get my generals out of the way since i'm more then half way there. So life is gonna get even more crazy with working, school and a new baby! i'm very excited to continue this lack of sleep program i'm on hahaa!
Just to brag on thor.... he got a semi promotion at work! he now is the official individual who does all the training for his lab! and next month he gets promoted to lab tech 2! it pretty much means he is doing great at his job and moving up in the company!

Oh the joys of being a new parent! Yesterday we ran to the snow cone shack to get a snow cone, too bad they were closed due to the utah holiday! When we got home I ran to the store and left Oaklie with Thor. While i was away Oaklie pooped every were!! she pooped so much she pooped onto every piece of padding on the car seat, through 2 blankets and all over herself!! It took Thor 30 mins to clean it all up!!
Then.... Later that night, Thor had finished feeding her and we had bathed her and was getting ready to put her in bed when.... blah! Oaklie puked ALL over herself and Thor!!! it went all over our bed and we had to re-wash baby, change her clothes and change the sheets!
After her second bath Thor went to change her diaper and as soon as we took it off she peed all over herself and her bed!!! so we had to wash her body again! blahaha!!
Baby girl had a rough night....but at least she waited till daddy got home!! Whose mommys best friend! haha!!!

Oaklie's FINALLY here!!

Yeah we finally have a baby girl!! Oaklie Rogers, born 7-8-09 (which is cute because my wedding anniversary is 9-8-07! were ment to be a family)!!!! she was 7 pounds 10 oz and was 20 inches long!!! so after 12 hours of labor, 2 hours of pushing and an emergency c-section this princess finally decided to grace us with her presence! Here is the story of how she came!!
We go to the hospital tuesday july 7th to start a pill call cervidel to help my cervix start to soften. I was contracting too much for them to be able to use it. They decided to hook us up to the potossum which is the medicine that helps you dialate instead. At 5:45 am on the july 8th my water broke. The nurse asked if i wanted an epideral, she said the anestesiaologist was getting ready to go into surgery and would be unavailable until 8 am. i said i would wait a little while, well... about 30 mins later i wanted one! So he quickly came in and gave me one and it was beautiful. They checked me at that time and i was dialated to a 3.
5 hours later the epideral starts to wear off and i'm in ALOT of pain. so the anestesiaologist comes back in to give me more medication.... we'll to sum it up i didn't get numb after a 30 mins. He was just amazed that i didn't get numb! she he took it out and placed another epideral into another vertibre and this time it shot pain on the side of my back. he was like "i've been doing this for 30 years and this should not be hurting there. i put it in text book perfect.". he said that it didn't hurt when he flushed it but only hurt when the medicine went in. so he took this one out and i got a 3rd epideral placed and this time i got numb. the anestesiaologist said that if i couldnt stay numb this time that the epideral probably wont work on me and i would be doing this natural! the nurse checked me at this time and i had gone from a 3 to an 8 in 5 hours! the nurse said that, that ususally dosent happen to first time pregnancys and no wonder i was in pain!
A couple of hours later they checked me and i was completley ephased and dialated to a 10! yahoo time for pushing!!! right before i started pushing i noticed i didn't feel well, they took my temp and it was at a 102 and some how i had gotten an infection!
So we start pushing and after every 3rd push i puked ALL over myself!! after an hour and a half of pushing my dr. said if she dosent come in 30 mins we would have to do a c-section becuse she should have come out because i was pushing just fine. she said she couldnt use clamps or a vaccuum to help because she couldnt see how the baby was positioned.
During that time the epideral started to wear off, 30 mins later i was in some pain. so my dr. said "okay c-section time". as thor got dressed i got a contraction that contracted so hard i couldnt breath! it refused to let up and let off the baby so the dr. said no time we have to do this now! and wheeled me off to surgery! Once in the operating room i was NO longer numb at all and i was screaming and crying and couldnt breath due to the contraction that still would not let up! The anestisologist said "were gonna have to put her under i cant get her numb!" So since i was being put under thor wasnt allowed in the operating room. Luckily i had asked my nurse from my ob office to be there with me. since she was a nurse she was allowed in the room, Florance (the nurse) came to the hospital on her own time to be there for me and was able to calm me down and coach me and help me to breath. I felt like i was going to pass out and die! Then i feel asleep to due the drugs.
Poor thor is sitting outside hearing me scream, then silence, then 5 mins later heard our baby scream! he was relieved! after 10 mins they let him in the room to hold our baby! My dr. is very good and stitched me up and i hear from all the nurses that it looks so good that i probably wont scar! Due to my infection they put me on 3 different antibiotics since they didn't know were the infection was coming from. They kept me pretty druged up the next day.
I dont even remember much from wed. or thursday. I didn't even hold my baby till she was 3 days old! Thor however was able to give miss oaklie her first bath!
My fever finally broke and i was able to hold my baby and the dr. came in and said our baby had jaundice and needed to stay in the light for 24 hours. i started balling, i finally got to hold my baby and be a mommy and they take her from me!
then the anistisologist came in to our room and apologized! it was shocking because he was so nice! he said that he has been doing this for 30 years and has NEVER seen what happend to me! he said that the epiderals went in text book perfect and he even called some of his friends to try to figure out what went wrong but nobody knew. he said even when he took them out of my back they were perfect and not bent in anyway. so it was nice to have him come talk to us for like a half hour. then he recomended to never try to have a vaginal birth again and to only do c-sections and that he dosent think a spinal would numb me so probably to be put under again!
After being on so many drugs i wasnt able to pee and i was in increadible pain! the nurse didn't want to give me a cathider so she put one in just to relieve the pressure and took it back out. well when she did that i peed a liter and a half!!! it felt amazing! then 20 mins later i was in pain again and begged for a cathider to be left in, she said there is no way i still had a lot of pee in me. so she did an ultra sound thing to see how much pee was in u and found that there was at least 8 ml and placed a cathider for the night!
My stomach was so swollen i still looked pregnant 3 days after having a baby, thats because i was BACKED up!! it took me 4 days to fart and exactly 1 week to poop!! my dr. actually had to give me stuff to help me go! who knew how much you could appreciate natural body functions!
After Oaklie was done with her jaundice treatment my fever went back up to 102 so again i was too weak to really do much with her! after 24 hours of no fever they released us to go home!!! so sunday we all arrived home were my mom was waiting, she came from NJ to visit us and help! we'll monday morning around 4 am my fever came back and my dr. sent me back to the hospital for test and more antibiotics. since oaklie had already been released she wasnt allowed to stay in the hospital with me unless someone stayed too. so she stayed at home with my mom and Thor. Thor and Oaklie would come every night for dinner and a movie and i just balled when they left. Finally on Wed. I had been with out a fever for 48 hours and had finished a billion antibitocs so they sent me home yahoo!!! after 1 week and 1 day in the hospital. my dr. has kinda put me on a bed rest so i try to take care of my baby as much as i can but i pass her off to my mom alot so i can rest up! it took a great deal to get her here with a looong crazy pregnancy to a loong crazy birth we finally have our gorgoues little girl!! here are some photos for now! hope you enjoy!!!.
oh ps i have the best husband in the world who was there for me the whole time and took care of me and baby while in the hospital! he is now back to work and still does everything he can to play daddy and mommy!! he loves his little girl so much first thing he does when he comes home is picks her up even if i just put her down and she was sleeping! hahah man i love my family!!

Since we didn't have a baby this weekend, i spent the 4th of july with my brother and sister and her dog Tucker!! Thor decided to work on the 4th to make up for the time he missed at work with us not having a baby that way he can take time off when we actually do have a baby! We went to a BBQ at our uncle Toms house and ate lots of good food! Then they played volleyball water balloon! After the BBQ Thor and I met up with some friends and went to Sandy city to watch the fireworks and ate cold stone! mmmm not a bad way to enjoy a spectacular holiday! Then we went back to our friends house and ate some gaucamoli dip and grilled up some hot dogs!!! Food, Friends, Fireworks and Freedoom! what a great country and what a great life!!!

Hosptial!! Round 1!!!

On July 1 2009 Thor and I checked into the St. Marks hospital to get induced! we checked in at 9 pm and started with a medication called cervidel to help start the process. The cervidel put my body into labor overdrive! My body was trying too hard to have a baby. Then the next morning as the nurse was checking me, she was rough with her exam and due to that my body contracted so hard on the baby it dropped her heart rate to 70!! (babies hear rates are usually up around 140-160). So they immediately gave me a shot to stop the contractions. The babies heart rate quickly went back up to normal. Oaklie was just fine! Then we had to wait 1 hour to start the patosum (which is the medicaiton they give to help you dialate and start labor) to give my body a moment of rest. We started the patosum around 1 pm and by 8 pm i had only dialated to a 2! My dr. recomended sending us home and having us come back!!! who knew an induction could fail! so we went home thursday night after being in the hospital for 2 days and not eating for over 24 hours and being put into labor twice! NO BABY!!! yup i'm still pregnant! So we go back to the hospital this tuesday the 7th of july for round 2! we will try different medication this time and if she dosent come naturally our dr. is going to do a c section on wednesday so i will for sure have a baby this time!! wish us luck!!

So I have so many great friends who threw me some FABULOUS baby showers!!! My first shower was thrown in Boise Idaho by my old co workers (who i miss boo)! Then my aunt Julie threw me a shower with my dads side of the family. My in laws threw me a shower and my best girlfriends in utah threw a shower! My baby is loved and spoiled now! Thor and i have been so blessed because we have not bought our baby anything and we have everything we need to have a baby!! Thank you to everyone!! Now i just have a BILLION thank you notes to write! i figured i might be in the hospital for a couple of days so i will get started then!!! Here are some photos of some of the showers!!

At Thors work it was there 25th anniversary and the company threw a big party! they had a big rock band competition were each lab put together a band and performed! Thor dressed up as bret michaels and i think he looks very hot!! hehe! i put my REAL hair extensions in and he let me put eye liner on him!! haha check out my sexy super star!
(for those of you who dont know who Brett Micahels is, he is the lead singer for the band "posion" and sings that song "every rose has its thorne")

To update you..... i have a pregnancy rash called "PUPPS". its not contagious. its like morning sickenss, not all pregnant women get it. i think my dr. said 1 out of 800 women get it and i am so lucky i got it! It itches 24/7 and looks horrible! Its getting so bad i'm not sleeping at night and i'm looseing my sanity, sleep, and appitatie!
So we went to the Dr. on Monday and she said due to my "servere" rash she wants to deliver! Tomorrow we are going to have an amniocitis test (which is were they take fluid from the uterus and test it for a protien) The protien will tell us if Oaklies lungs are done developing. If her lungs are ready my Dr. is going to induce us SATRUDAY!!!!! I cant wait!! they think she weights 7 pounds and i have NO room in my stomach for her anymore!! blahaha!
So wish us luck with the test tomorrow! I CANT WAIT!!

We FINALLY have insurance!! and yes it covers baby!!! its actually amazing insurance! they cover maternity under regular illness so our deductable is........ $200!!! thats it!! amazing huh?? I just havent found a baby dr. here in utah yet! i'm due in two months and i need to find one soon! haha!! here are ALOT of pictures!!! with new insurance i feel we will get another ultra sound!

We are living with thors grandparents in there gorgoues house! they asked us to house sit while they go on there mission to tiland.... and there calling just came in the mail yesterday!!! but... they are in moab for the week and we wont know when they leave until they come home monday and open it! :(

Big Changes

Hello! lots of new and exciting things have been happening!!! we moved to Salt Lake, we left behind all of our great friends like my best friend Megan :( and wendy and shannon! i miss my old job!!! I'm working at a new dental office and Hoppers and Thor is working (not sure what he does but he loves it).

Were having a baby! i know right! its a girl and were naming her Oaklie (oak-leigh) and she is due july 10-18th... we'll see when the little stinker comes out! thor is so excited to have a baby girl, he is totally gonna spoil her!

Its been snowing alot here in SLC and i absolutley hate it! i'm ready for summer!!! "if april showers bring mayflowers what do mayflowers bring"?????........."PILGRAMS!" blahahaha!

Thor and I went to cheesecake factory for our very first time. the food was pretty good but definetly over priced. however we went at lunch time and found the prices were much better! there cheese cake and desserts are delicious though..... so pretty sure we will be back!

Thor started his new job monday and he LOVES it! he said his boss is just like him. he claimed he didn't have enough jeans for work so of course we went shopping to get him some new clothes. he was very excited lol.

We hung out with our friends natalie and jeremi. They are about to have a baby. this is the first pregnant person i have ever been around. i have never been around prego people before or babies so its kinda very exciting! in no way does it make me want to have a baby though thats for sure! abcenese is key lol.

Halloween is such a fun holiday! but i wish i were in utah to celebrate it with all my girlfriends and with my bestie madison whose birthday is coming up too! but thor bought me a pumpkin so we can carve pumpkins! were planing on going to a corn maze and haunted house this year i'm so stinkin excited!

Hello again! Update time: (heres a quick 2 min replay)
I got accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program at Apollo College in Boise, Idaho!! so we packed out bags and moved from ohio to idaho!! it was the most miserable trip ever in ohio!!! we moved in with some people we met in ohio. we live in an apartment made for roommates. so we have our own private bed and bath away from there room so its perfect. Our roomies are Sti and Levi. They just got engaged and are planning a wedding for next spring!

I ended up not going to the dental hygiene program! :( i know sad, my scholarship didn't come through in time so the school wanted me to pay 54,000 dollars!!! i was like uhh... yeah i dont have that kind of money sorry!! so i found a job at Francis Family Dental in a little town called Kuna!! which i love! i definetly do NOT miss my dental assisting job in ohio!! that was hell on earth! this dental office is fabulous! so brushie brushie! lol i also work part time in boise at ruby river! Thor has been working at the YMCA as a lifegaurd and swim coach. one of his swimming lessons parents were chatting with him and offered thor a job!! yahoo!! he starts monday and i am so excited!! he will be trained to become part owner of a small buisness!! there even going to pay for his school!! but here are some updating photos!

Hey everyone first time blogger here!! Just an update i'm Natalie Marie Myers Rogers and i married my best friend Thor Samuel Rogers on September 8th 2007! best day ever!!

We currently live in Mason, Ohio. I work at a dental office as a dental assistant. I work at Hardin Dental, it was the dental office used in ABC's extreme make over so its pretty exciting! Thor works for Pinnacle Security selling home security systems.

I recently cut and died my hair!! It has never been this short or blonde before!! Hope you like it!

I just found out yesterday that i have been accepted to the interview portion at the Apollo college for Dental Hygiene!! so i fly to Boise, Idaho next month and interview!!! wish me luck!!
